old yeller
I had a Trans Am and it was bump stops that either fell off or disintegrated over time. Also could be a stripped plastic gear on the motor. If you look on YouTube, there are video's showing this problem and fixes for them.
Grape Ape
I'm guessing this is a C5??? I didn't want to download the video so I didn't watch it. My guess is like old yeller stated, the bump stops are most likely either gone or worn enough to cause issues. If they're still there try flipping them around and see what happens. Desertdawg
Since it’s only going up half way before it drops, I don’t think it’s bump stops. Probably stripped gears.
