Tim
I am restoring the rear storage compartment on my 76. I order the rivets from Zip Corvette for the compartment door hinges. They are not standard rivets. What is the technique for getting them tight?
Grape Ape
If you can't do it out outside the car, you'll need a rivet squeezer. A rivet gun & bucking bar will work if you have those too. If you have access to both sides and out of the car you can lay the flat part of the rivet on a flat metal surface and use a hammer to flatten the head until you're happy with it. The rivet shouldn't be to touch to get flat I wouldn't think.
