Looks like one that I put on a 1979 RX seven. The Viber alarm worked off motion and had to be installed on a solid piece of metal. When the car was bumped or any movement in the car would set the alarm off. So would h a strong wind. Lol

No, that is not factory. 
Below is the factory wiring schematic for a 75, I believe the 76 is the same.

You would have a key switch in the front drivers side fender, all it did was provide power to a flasher relay that would flash the running lights and intermittently sound the horn if it saw the interior lights come on.

Thanks.  my 76 has key switches on both front funders.   The flasher piece is mounted in the rear under the storage compartments.  This unit is wired to that.

So someone triggered this aftermarket unit off of the faulty factory alarm…funny.
