The weather look like it's going to cooperate?

I am/have been watching the weather.

Forecast is cloudy and "isolated or scattered" showers at 25% chance or less over the route during the time we will be driving up.

It is likely there will be rain while we are having lunch in Flagstaff, so be advised your Corvette may melt in the parking lot. :P

So basically its monsoon season.  If you're too scared to get it wet, put it in a museum

Me being a smart ass aside, make sure your wiper blades are in good condition, I disintegrated a couple sets over the years just from not being used often.  Nothing worse than that first swipe and the blade peels away :LolLol:

For that exact reason, I always apply wax to the windshield; however, my wipers work fine as evidenced by the rain squall we drove through going up to bagdad.

Soooo... this Cruise was a great mix of old and new members, and four generations of Vettes represented.

No rain, dry roads, and mostly sunny skies until we arrived in Flagstaff.

I had a :fail:and apologizing to do to the crew because the restaurant had moved their opening by 30 minutes so we had a little bit of downtime in the parking lot before the restaurant opened.

30 minutes after we rolled into Flagstaff, the sky opened up into a typical Monsoon thunderstorm.  We spent the last 5 minutes before the restaurant opened sheltering under their front awning. Except for "Just Jim" who was busy putting the targa top back on his Vette.  By the time we all finished eating, the storm had moved on.

Here are some pics...
