We will leave the Quik Mart at 10am and take the frontage road to Marsh Station road and then I-10 East for 6 miles to exit 297 Mescal Ranch road, 3 mile north to the Mescal Movie Set. There will be a .25 mile drive on a hard pack dirt road to the Movie Set. There is a $10 admission for the movie set tour. You can pay with cash or credit card at the movie set. There might be a food truck on location, I will call them on Aprils Fools Day to verify. They do have picnic tables, so you can bring a lunch. There is also a Subway close to the Vail meetup location. I have not seen them in FOREVER and it would be great to see them again and sample their wines! They can accommodate a lot more. Hi Payton, It was great to meet you and Mary! We are all looking forward to your group joining us on April 2nd. We can accommodate quite a few cars and their owners on set for photo opportunities and display parking. We had at least a couple of dozen Pontiacs and GMCs on set a while back with room to spare. So we ourselves would not need a signup deadline. Payment online is best, it gives us a head count right up to the event day. I’m not the business manager, so I’m sending this response to Mark Sankey also, in case he has other ideas regarding payment. I am working to get a food truck and will let you know. Thanks! The Tombstone Wine Celebration was a bigger draw for the food trucks. I suggest everyone pack a lunch or get sandwich at Subway or the Quik Mart in Vail. I believe we will have somebody collecting the entry fee from each of the drivers as you go by. I just talked to the gal that runs our usual food truck. She will be here on Saturday. Mostly hamburgers and hotdogs on the menu. It’s good food. It was small but seemed very well attended. Chatted with Cale and Barb, old time ACE members, for about 5 minutes. Cale is contemplating a C8 Z06... A few pics...
