Is There A Reputable Dealer For Warranty Work?

Is there anyone in ACE with a C8 that has found a dealer that can provide good service?  I need to get my horn to start horning, again😂  This is the first car I've had that I need to take to a dealer for work and all I've heard is bad, sad, horrible stories...

Thanks, that's where we take the wife's Cadillac.  I'll have to find if they have any techs trained for the C8.

Yeah, I guess I earned that😎.  Besides the horn not working (except when it locks), the frunk won't open with the fob.  At least, I don't have issues as some have.  I guess that since it was built in the last week of production, most all bad issues had been overcome.

Talk to service writer Bill Large and make sure he understands that you are very picky Corvette owner. I believe they have one Tech who is assigned to generally work on Corvettes...

John Sheldon is a service advisor and a Corvette owner at Gateway Chevy. It's the only GM dealer of the 6 where I've taken my cars, that always did good work.

I agree with Tom...John and Gateway always did well by me.

This just shows how dealer experience can vary widely from one customer to the next.

I don't go to Gateway because Slammer took his Corvette to Gateway with electronics issues, they charged him $800 for parts and labor that didn't fix the issue, and in the process  jacked up his car without pucks and broke the rockers down both sides. They repaired the damage to the rockers at their expense, but it was still a negative experience for him...

When I worked in Scottsdale I used Van and had great success. Van not only fixed my car, but fixed all the stuff another Chevy dealer in Gilbert messed up. The only thing to be weary of was the bill, make sure you have a clear understanding before the work starts. I am currently trying Freeway, first visit had some mixed emotions on the communication, technical work was fine.

Yup, this is another example of what I was talking about. You had a great experience with Vans, but I had a very negative experience with Van's several years ago.

I did have great experiences with Coulter Cadillac,  and recently with Arrowhead Cadillac - but there is probably some Corvette owner out there who had a negative experience with one of those dealerships...

Sorry for the lateness, Bill Large is no longer with Arrowhead Cadillac. John Sheldon is great at Gateway,  but it’s not the service advisor who does the work and not all techs are created equal. Frankly, I’ve found very few shops in Phoenix who aren’t just bolt on specialists or parts changers. If you are west Valley, I’ve heard good things about Sands Chevrolet off the 303 and have used Arrowhead based on Extender32’s recommendation.

Thanks for all the input.  Right now, the only issue I have is that my horn doesn't work.  I'll try Arrowhead Cadillac, as that's where we take Pam's Cadillac for service.  We've always been happy with their work.
