Grape Ape
Sorry to hear about your car SixAddict. I hate when people do that kind of stuff. The show overall looked like fun though. Maybe next year I'll go with you all. I'm sure you had a better and cooler weather then I did. I was sweating. We did get to meet up with a couple old ACE friends we haven't seen in a few years though so that made it worth the trip for sure.

It was another one in the show that was looking for photos of a C3 which fortunately German had taken a beautiful photo of. This was from the corvetteforum under Southwest section a member named hotwheels57 had his Z06 ran into by a hit and run drunk driver who was registered in the show. As luck would have it, I read today the the police caught up to him and arrested him in Prescott.

Still sucks someone thought they could get away with that stuff though. Glad they caught him. Can't prove DUI but that's probably why he left anyway. coconut girl
My brother Scott and I were witness. I saw the guy hit the hotwheels57 car and he was still trying to do more turns and get out of there. I ran down there and pointed to the damage he just did and asked him "You aren't leaving are you"? He mumbled something and made a 3 point turn to get back into his parking spot. He almost hit two more vettes trying to park. I looked a round and asked if anyone else saw that and no one would make eye contact or confront the guy. Bunch of wimps! There was no blue paint on the hotwheels57 car. Just a scuff mark. Then he got a rag and a spray bottle. I told him that the panel was cracked and that it would not buff out and that the owner probably would not want him rubbing on his car and should wait for the owner. He mumbled something else and got back in his car and sat there for a minute. Then gets out and try's rubbing on the guys car again. He rubbed it so hard it he made it worse with a big crack. Got back in his car and we thought he was going to wait. We also waited for the owner. Then when we had out backs turned he took off. Then everyone around there that saw it got up and were taking smack after the guy left. A little old lady from Prescott was the only person that confronted or talked to the guy. SixAddict
Glad to hear that you stood up to him. I made a comment earlier that I would suspect other vette owners would have held him there until police or the owner arrived, found it odd that it didn't happen. Good for you and thank you.
