Extender32
Long story....but I took Julies car to have the brakes looked at and after looking at everything except pulling the engine, her rebuilt engine was only at 8:4:1 compression ratio and so much blow by that it was deemed to be cheaper to purchase a 450hp/455 torque, 383 stroker and the engine was delivered today. We will be using all other components from her old engine minus the Edelbrock heads; which we will sell since we don't need them.

Extender32
I just returned from the shop; blower motor still doesn't work and wiring inside center console/dash is a mess, so more money spent to rewire and get the blower motor working so she at least has heat, defrost and vent air. Car promised to be ready for the drive down to Gila Bend on the 30th.

Extender32
Julie's car is now home. Everything works, including the blower motor and the engine purrs like a kitten. Going WOT the car just wants to go! No backfiring, no spit and sputtering, just pure sex. The brakes work way better too. We plan on taking it for a nice shakedown run Sat morning; just so Julie can see what her baby does. All that is left is a new paint job, new interior and a kick-ass stereo so we can listen to music over the sound of the sidepipes.
TheCMSH
Congrats Greg, glad you were able to get it to someone who could unf*ck the previous f*ckery. Kudos to Vintage Iron for getting you back to driving it
