Eddie44 Posted October 26, 2018 Share Posted October 26, 2018 Most of the Old Timers Know long time ACE Member Mike Myer “Mikey”. He has been battling cancer for years. Doctors have pronounced his condition terminal. He quit treatment a couple months ago and the Doctors say he’s lived longer than they expected. “Mikey” has made a final request for a Corvette Drive By from ACE Members. Several of us who are close to “Mikey” have come up with a plan to fulfill his wish. Details are as follows. We would like to see as many ACE Members as possible attend. I’m sure “Mikey” will Love it. Date: Dec 9th Time: 11:00 am Place: Desert Mountain HS 124th St & Via Linda Scottsdale We will stage at the HS (see map below)and then proceed north a couple blocks and drive by his house. He is currently in a wheelchair and under Hospice care but he’ll be out front on the drive to witness any “shenanigans” you all want to do. Neighbors will be alerted in.case there are loud exhaust noises or burnouts. Lunch at Blue Adobe Grille has fallen thru. They have been contacted and there is doubt they can handle a group the size of ours. We contacted Zipps and they were hesitant with the Sunday NFL crowd. We’ll have a list of nearby restaurants for everyone that day. It appears we’ll have to break up into smaller groups. Please post up if you can make it to this final tribute to a dear friend.
