goofy02z06 Posted September 25, 2018 Share Posted September 25, 2018 My 02 Z06 is having oil pressure issues. I am not sure it is the sending unit which I had changed a few years ago. When it went out last time it just quit working, this time it is still reading just very low 8 psi. When engine is at 2000rpm oil psi 40+. As soon as I let off the throttle it returns to 8-9. TheCMSH Posted September 26, 2018 Share Posted September 26, 2018 Certain sending units are more prone to failure than others, I've read on the big forum people having the replacement crap out after a year or two. That being said I recall most failures indicate max pressure or zero Try to get an inspection mirror and see if the sending unit is leaking, that would be a good indicator and starting point. Otherwise, indicating pressure but very low, I'd be looking to install a mechanical gauge to get a reading on the oil pressure to know the real deal absolutely Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
