Thanks for the tour Ted. Too bad the traffic kept us separated into smaller groups. I only made one wrong turn, but I didn't end up in Duncan either. :ack

Nice way to spend Veteran's Day. :usa:

Great trip thanks for setting this up Ted :thumbs ..  It was very nice of that DPS officer to give me the escort up the Hill :atwitsend:

I think we all found out that Veteran's Day :usa: is a big event in Prescott..  Did anybody else notice all the Corvettes from the Prescott Corvette club they were on one of the side streets ...

Loved the drive Ted. Thanks a ton.

Who was in the black car behind me down I-17? And where'd you go. One minute you were there and the next you were gone!!!!

I thought that I was going to be the award winner when the DPS car zoomed up behind me, but he passed me going up Yarnell Hill.

Ted,

Thanks for a great run!  And thank you for leading us in a pledge to our flag.  My daughter mentioned that as of Tuesday, we all seem to have a renewed sense of patriotism.

As usual, YELLOW RULES!!!

Gues those of us that were  ahead of him got lucky. No way he was going to catch us though. :smilelol

That was Chris. He sat with us. He lives up by Carefree and got off on New River, I think.

Okay, I was wondering.

So that's why my detector went off in yarnell.

He came around the last corner and we were putting thru at 35.

Ted and all you friendly ACE members,

Thank-you for a wonderful Vet cruise. Awesome folks, great food and my throttle monkey got fed well. Though I ended up 4th in the ride down I-17 I did get to see the "racing diesel pickup truck" receive some instruction in Corvette performance, lol. We need more of these for sure.

CHEERS,

Chris

I'm glad everyone had fun. The drive was a bonus.

Lunch doesn't have to be out of town. Someone just needs to have an idea and post up an event.

Annie and I had a great time on the drive up.  My co-worker and his friend enjoyed the event as well.  Thank you Ted for putting on the event and buying me lunch.. Much appreciated.

As a side bar, some of you know that the fuel gauge dropped to dead zero pulling into the Mobil station.  Car ran fine up the hill.  On the way home in the interstate, gauge still not working.  Get into rush hour traffic on the 101, north of the Indian School exit and in the HOV lane, car dies.  DPS has to stop all four south bound lanes so we could push the car to the curb.  As I was waiting for the flat bed tow, I checked all fuses that might have a cause, to no luck.  But the fuel gauge started to work normally again, showing just under 1/2 tank remaining.  This morning for the heck of it, I poured two gallons of lawnmower fuel into the tank.  Engine sputtered and started.  Runs smooth as silk.  Fuel gauge registers the added fuel.  I would assume the transfer siphon system might not be working but kind of weird the gauge situation, then out of fuel and the gauge working again.

Still a great day on Friday.  The drive up was awesome, the burgers even better.  We got the car home without damage and Good Sam Roadside payed for the tow.

Thanks again,

Chas  :flag
