Barb Nicholas, Director of Camp Sunrise and Sidekicks, has asked if we could escort the Kids to Camp again this year. Those of you that know me know I have long hair. Well, my new job requires client visits, so I have decided to cut my hair in Camp Sunrise fasion. I will be having the kids at camp cut my hair so that it can be donated. Don't miss this awesome event to support the KIDS. Rob. Here are the details. We will be meeting at the Mayo Hospital off of 57th st and Mayo Blvd. (Just south of the 101) PHOENIX TRANSPORTATION to Camp: LOCATION: Mayo Hospital, 5777 E Mayo Blvd, Phoenix AZ 85054 DIRECTIONS: From the 101 Freeway, exit at 56th St and go south to Mayo Blvd. Go left (east) on Mayo Blvd to the main hospital entrance. DROPOFF: Sunday, July 19thARRIVE BY 8:30AM. Bus LEAVES at 9:30AM SHARP Park in Lot A SOUTH Patient/Visitor Parking Lot. Follow signs to camp check-in. Where you will be driving to: Arizona Camp Sunrise at R-C Boy Scout Ranch 19887 Arizona Highway 260 Payson AZ 85541 (Apx 1.45 mins from Phoenix) What you will be doing: Escorting the 2 buses of kids who will be attending Arizona Camp Sunrise. (A camp for children who have or have had cancer). You will drive up to the camp, stay for lunch, let the kids see your cool cars, take some pictures and hang out with some awesome kids!! VenomOnWheels Posted July 3, 2015 Share Posted July 3, 2015 I suggest that we again set-up a second staging area at the Chevron station/store at the southwest corner of Beeline Highway and Fort McDowell Road (across from the Fort McDowell Casino). Those coming from the southeast valley, and points south, who don't wish to drive up to Mayo Clinic can stage there. Somebody in the caravan can notify somebody at station when they reach Fountain Hills (Shea & Beeline), and the station group can then smoothly merge into the caravan as it passes by.
