antenna mast.

Order a new mast they said. It's easy they said, unless the plastic is broken off inside. Well the plastic was broken off inside. Lots of write ups on CF with pic's.

4 hours later with aching knees and arms I am finally finished. Next time will be a stubby antenna for sure.

Has anybody ever figured out why the C5 FRCs and verts have antennas while all hatchbacks are in the windshield? :at wits end:

There are two radio antennas in the coupe, one in the front windshield and one in the rear hatch glass. The front one only receives FM frequencies. The rear receives both AM and FM frequencies. A module determines which signal is better, the front or the rear (for FM, since the front doesn't receive AM) and then relays the better of the two signal to the radio.

Since the FRCs and Verts have a different rear window without antennas, they get a different antenna arrangement.
