Hello everyone,

My name is Mike and my wife is Angie. We are 3 day old owners of a 2015 Stingray and I can't seem to stop driving it or staring at it. :)

This is our third Vette. The first was a used 1998 C5 which we sold when moving to Boston, MA. In 2003 we bought a 50th Anniversary off the lot, with 12 miles on it. I drove it as my daily driver until April 1st, when we traded it in on the Stingray. It was a bittersweet day, saying goodbye to an old friend and hello to a new friend.

I found ACE by searching google for AZ. Corvette clubs. We like the idea of a group of people with like minded interests, without the red-tape of an official club.

We live in Gilbert, work in Tempe, and are driving the Stingray all over the valley. We are interested in joining up with groups for car shows, cruises, etc.

Guess that's about it for now. So, 'hello' and we look forward to possibly meeting some of you all soon.

Welcome, Mike and Angie! And congrats on the new Stingray!! I was reading and got to the part about BOSTON, so naturally, everyone knows I'd be jumping in to say HI!! LOL I moved here from Boston 23 years ago (Oct 1992) and now live in Chandler with hubby, Marco (in this group), and our C5 little red convertible Vette.

So, back to the Boston part... where did you live there? I grew up in Westwood (Class of '83) and lived in Walpole for 5 before I called it quits with the crappola weather!!

WELCOME MIKE & ANGIE from the south side of AZ. You have to LOVE a group with no meetings and no due's! We're just a bunch of ACEholes!

You might have some FUN on the Devils Hwy. run coming up at the end of the month, ck it out. :crayon::coool::fastdraw:

Thank you for the welcome. To start off, here's a pic of the new stingray...

My apologies if this isn't the proper picture posting method. It seems each forum I'm a member of likes different ways of doing things. :)

To L8RDAYS - we lived in Malden, taking the orange line in to State St., where we worked. We were only there for a year, having moved from Ft. Collins, CO. and moved to Austin, TX. We didn't much like the weather, but my wife being a foodie, she loved it there for that reason.

If anyone happens to remember seeing a 50th C5 running around with plates that said "WIDOMKR", that was me and I'll apologize if I didn't wave....sometimes I zone out while I'm driving and don't see a Vette passing until it's too late. I'm working on that. lol

Beautiful looking car Mike. Love the look of a clean black car!! Red calipers are a must.

Have you thought of some protection for your front end? Lots of rocks flying around here in AZ. Donna (Chameleon) just got a full frontal clear bra on her new Black Stingray. The sooner the better.

And another welcome from Mesa! Stay informed on the events page and come to Corvettes & Caffeine on the first Saturday of each month. Yesterday we had 144 Corvettes attend and I'd say 15 C7s and about 30 for our brunch. Always something going on around here. :wacked:

Thanks again everyone.

Slammer - yes, I'm looking in to clear coverings now. If anyone can recommend a high quality product, please do so. Thank you.

Unreal - I think perhaps we live in the same neighborhood, or there's two Laguna Blue C7s running around Gilbert. :)

ChadC - I traded the '03 C5 in with 76,500 miles. Low miles for a 12 year old regular car, but kind of high for a Corvette. It was my daily driver, as will the C7 be. Pay that kind of money, it's gotta be driven!

Shane's in Peoria has done clear bras for some if us here, including SLAMMER and Extender32. Shane did a full 3M clear bra on my C6, and just recently on my C7. Very happy with the results.

Hi Mike & Angie. Welcome from east, far east Mesa. Love your car. Let me take a guess here, I bet your '98 was a Medium Pearl Purple.....am I right???? Hope to see you next Saturday.
