Unreal
Depends on which BMW. Vettes IMO aren't the best daily drivers. As a one an only car I would take a 335, m3, m4, m5, or any of the sporty BMWs any day over a vette. Friend has a lightly modded 335, makes ~450rwhp, and can hang with most stock vettes just fine, yet has a nicer interior, quieter, better stereo, better ride, better mileage, real back seat, etc. Some people have kids, or need to haul junk around. Hell, I've said it multiple times, my daily driver is a mustang and I would take that over a vette given the choice. If it was a 335, Mustang, or Vette as a one and only car, I would probably take them in that order.
Bigfoot
I'm loving my base C6 as a daily driver. She's smooth, quiet and a ton of fun to drive. Albeit, I can't drive her today because I have to drop off kids...in my Honda, which by the way rides rougher and is noisier than my vette on the road (in car that is). ChadC
after 4 vettes in 12 years I thought I would try something different. I choose not to buy a brand new c7 for $78K+. Instead a used BMW for for less than half, drive it for a few years, then buy a used nice C7 for Half or less. its not a sin kids, its just a car. calm down SO Ed/ 1EVILC6 how many miles did you have on your C6Z when you traded it in ...6000 miles? in 6 or 7 years of ownership? thats what... less than 1000 miles per year? now not driving and enjoying your car... THAT's the REAL SIN. explain that one me ;-)

I guess if there is one good thing to come from this, it is how desirable the Z was at time of sale because of low mileage.

Ill put in this perspective *insert sounds of a calculator clickety clacking* (mumbeling..carry the one.... divide by pie) ok assuming you got 18 Mpg average you filled up your vette gas tank once every 6 months. every SIX MONTHS.... ack!! Shifty
I'm completely guilty of this crime...however, mine is from lack of free time, so unless it's my DD, whatever it was gets no mileage. Because of Tucson's shit road conditions, it would be a greater crime to force my Corvette into DD duty. In four years, I had to completely rebuild my poor Z/28's suspension. (struts + strut mounts, springs, ball joints, control arm bushings, tie rod ends, center link, idler arm, shocks and torque arm bushing), all Moog parts. Most of my travel route has now been improved, but people drive kamikaze now, willing to get into an accident just to get one car ahead of teh other guy. I bought my 3/4 4x4 to survive teh next friendly get together of vehicles. (I've owned it since Dec. 24th, and have already had two very close calls, neither of which would have been my fault). No, I am merely stating my observation that the BMW provides more space, and therefore comfort, in the driver's seat.

No, I am merely stating my observation that the BMW provides more space, and therefore comfort, in the driver's seat. And here all the time I thought it was back seats that were used for comfort or the passenger seat in a pinch, since I never had that much room for comfort in the driver's seat. Although you may be more flexible than I imagine.
coconut girl
What would cause one to get the idea in their head to trade their Vette for a BMW? Then actually do it. Thoughts? I have had a vette for a daily driver since 1986. I still drive my vettte everyday that there is no snow or ton of cinders on the road. So I guess I don't have an answer to Ed's question.
