I would like to wrap the back bottom part of my c5 instead of painting. Has anyone done this or know of someone who can do it for me?

If you have pictures I would like to see the results.

I was in autozone the other day and noticed a product by rustoleum called peel coat paint. You can use it to put temp stripes etc on your car then peel it right off if you dont like it or change your mind. Comes in many colors. Anyone ever give this a try?

that is the same as the Plastic Dip

looks good till you scrub it. the it pulls off and looks like poo

you cannot make a straight line/cut with it no matter how you put your masking tape down.

Not true. My Fj cruiser has perfect smooth lines. I had roof and hood done and I did the wheels. I actually prefer plastidip over wraps as a wrap requires a ton of cleanup vs. Plastidip leaves no glue residue when peeled.

did you do the Plasti dip your self?

all my research, physical experiments, and reading indicates you cannot do perfect clean cut lines of Plastic Dip. it tears and pulls like a latex glove.

Respectfully you are dead wrong with wrap requiring cleanup.

all the major brands have a 3+ year guarantee and I personally have removed vinyl over 7 years old with no glue residue from a car.

I seriously encourage you to buy some 3m 1080 product and experiment.

In my opinion Plastic dip has its limited place on wheels. anywhere else Id use vinyl.

:agree

I recently removed wrap from my car, some of which was at least 3 years old, with no problem removing it, no residue left behind and no damage to the paint.

My neighbor used that plastic spray to put his business phone number

on the side of his truck bed.

I had my doubts but to my surprise it came out pretty good.

Secret is to remove tape while still wet! Lines were sharp.

But you got to move fast!!!

As far as longevity, that remains to be seen...
