sloryde
Hey y'all, I wanna pick your brains & figure out a value on a Vette to sell. My ex-wife wants to sell her C6 & get something more basic. It's kind of a fixer-upper. I told her I'd help, but I don't really know what it's worth at this point. We bought it brand new, special ordered it & recieved it early June of 2006. It's birthday is 05/29/06. It's got 155k miles. Runs & drives great! The body & paint are in good shape, although it's got a 2-3" crack in the paint on the hood. A pickup truck backed into it & the stud under the hitch ball gouged the fiberglass on the hood. As a favor, after we divorced, I repaired it. It was a rush job & the repair cracked (due to not enough curing time between steps). I didn't care when doing it, for obvious reasons. The fuel guage doesn't work, it needs new sending units (due to cheap gas). As a result the 'service engine soon' light is on. The front brakes are worn & squeak. The drivers seat upper side bolster has a 2" split in the seam. It was broken into & the drivers door window was broken, it's been repl., but not retinted. The bezel around the radio is cracked, stock radio was put back in but bezel was reused. The trim on the targa top was dented when they pryed & broke the window, but never repl. It has a custom enclosure w/2 Memphis 8" subwoofers across the rear cargo area using the storage bins as the boxes for woofers. Only around 2 taller than rear floor, it looks & sounded awesome. The center has an area where the amp was flush mounted. The amp was stolen, but enclosure & woofers are perfect. Right now stereo sys is all stock & works well. The car has some newer repairs & maint. 1.5 yrs ago I repl the harmonic balancer pulley, Waterpump, coolant, front crankshaft seal, trans fluid/filter, cleaned radiator fins & air filter, repl fuel filter, sparkplugs (AC Delco) & fuel filter. 1 yr ago the batt died & the guy at autozone blew the PCM trying to repl. I repl the batt & PCM & cleaned the throttle body. I'm pretty sure I repl the sparkplug wires when I did the plugs, can't remember for sure though. 2 mos ago her boyfriend repl the rear brake pads & x drilled rotors. A couple weeks ago he repl the valve cover gaskets & oil change. It has a Corsa exh w/Corsa center resonator section. Had a NICD tune prior to PCM repl, but now stock. Has black wing air intake. It's the base option package (no heated seats or Bose or HUD). Not Z51. Has 6spd automatic trans. It's lemans blue w/ebony int. has completion grey wheels w/prof hand painted cross flags on center caps. Has white GrandSport center stripe with 1996 GrandSport fender emblems. The tires are 50% & are a little wider than stock size. The cars seen better days, but still a really great running/driving car. Waddya think it's worth? I have no pics yet & didn't wanna post an ad without a price. Comments please?.?.?
sloryde
Oh & the shifter was not coming out of park sometimes, so I disconnected the electric lock solenoid. Now it'll come out of park with, or without turning the car on. I personally wouldn't care, as it's more reliable.. But a buyer should know. It's the ex's car & she can't afford a new shifter! The fuel rail covers are painted red tho... Kinda makes up for it!
Desertdawg
w/prof hand painted cross flags on center caps. That right there makes it a one of a kind.... Put some 100 mph tape on the hood where the guy put his nuts and tell people its so fast it's blowing the paint off... 1st, learn to use paragraphs, do you know how hard that was to read going 75 in the rain ??? 2nd, sell me the speakers ... cheap!!! 3rd, list it middle of the pack for '06's with an OBO. old yeller
It sounds rough. There are some on C/lL right now in the 80-90 thousand mile range for 18k to 22k. They look nice in a the picture. No offense but it sounds like a less than 13k car to me.

Chameleon
For a 2006 C6 base with 155K miles in fair condition: Kelly Blue Book says $9k. NADA says $13K
