Wild Horse Pass in January......

That 10.52 has been sitting in the #1 position for a LONG time now........I wonder if Wild Horse Pass tech would let me slide on the 11.50 rule so I could take a few shots at bettering that time :edward:

The 10.52 was in full street trim, with 91 pump gas and tune. I'd take another crack at the time in full race trim, with my E85 tune, to see if a 10.3X @ 133 is possible with AZ air.

What are you talking about, you don't even own a Vette anymore, and if you do, you can't get away long enough to find out if you can better that time. BOOM :smilelol

^^^LOL^^^ I'll be on vacation from December 19th thru January 5th, so I'll have some time to get the starter replaced and a hall pass to go goof off :wife:

Another board said they are still just as picky on the NHRA tech rules. I wouldn't want to piss them off, but damn :(

Come on over to Sacramento on January 2nd & 3rd with Tom & I.

Bob, when I was "stock" it meant something to me to run in the best air to see what I could wring out of the car. Now that it's modded, I'm not so inclined to drive the 700 miles to seek out that sea level air.

I'll come watch you get thrown out... sounds fun

I might just risk it.....it's been a while since I've been to the drags.

Victor, it's been a while since you've been anywhere. I was very surprised to see you at Gila Bend. Repossess your balls and bring your Vette out!

If I had a set of drag radials, I'd be up for bending a few rules. Too bad I need shocks/tires for the truck, a set of NT01s for Carolyn's STI and a set of R6s for the Vette first.

Victor,

Unless it is another Arizonas fastest, or event like that, I very much doubt you will beat your time. The normal test and tune prep is horrible. My 380rwhp mustang spins on hoosiers, let alone your car.

Yeah, track prep issues....but, I'd still give it a try :) I just wouldn't be able to be as aggressive on the launch.

So think about Sacramento. Bob and me, plus Mike Gary may go along too. Leave on the 2nd, race the 3rd, and return on the 4th.

I ran a 10.92 on a 1.53 60' in 2100' DA on my last outing and had a couple 1.49 launches, but let up to avoid breaking out. I've also tweaked a couple things since then. With a -760' DA at Sac like last time, your 10.52 could be in jeopardy. Ya just never know.

My folks will be in town from Dec. 30 to January 4, so I won't be able to go to Sac even if I wanted.

I might tweek a thing or two before I head out to the track next time, and be in race trim.....my 10.52 is going down when I run next :bannana4:

So you're saying I might only hold the top spot for a little while? :burnout :lol

If you do go out to Wild Horse in January, let me know. Really want to run some 11s in the wife's car. Best so far is 12.1s but I know it has some solid 11.8s in it with a decent launch.

  • 2 weeks later...

Import faceoff was to have an event january 25th. They wanted toooo much money so event got canceled!!!!

So you're saying, just because they're the only game in town, that they haven't learned to avoid pricing themselves out of business?

I guess when you're drowning in casino cash, you can afford to only open the playground for the high profit events.
