Our New Adventure

LastC3

Recommended Posts

Well, after almost a year and a half of planning, a lot of research, selling everything we own, including our C3, the C5 coupe and our home, and shopping for what will be our new home, we are in the final stages of beginning a new chapter in our lives. What belongings we have left are currently in our 20' car hauler in a storage lot in Mesa. On Wednesday we fly to WI to pick up our new home. Upon our return we will be parking in a very cool little spot in east Gilbert with lots of vintage cars & trucks, farm animals and such. Toward the end of March we will begin what will be an annual tour which will include the following .... Apr May & Jun in Colorado, Jul & Aug in WI, Sep, Oct & Nov in San Francisco, and returning to AZ for the winter. In all of these areas we have lots of family & friends, many of which we haven't seen in a very long time ..... Its time to get to know my grand kids and Jackie's family.

I will still be spending time at the shop assisting Mark with his expanding business and hopefully with all y'll at ACE events. I know we've missed quite a bit over this last year, but am looking forward to having the freedom to just do fun stuff.

Though I don't have any of our own pix yet, here's a peak at our new home .... will hopefully have some new pix of the complete travel package very soon.

Sweet new ride Hal, happy roads to you two... And please keep us updated on your travels.

In picture #23, is that the generator or a chest freezer? :lol

We are still on the fence about upgrading our 5th wheel, our 97 is showing it's age, it's sad watching the sun and heat take it's toll...

Which dealer did you buy from?

Thanks everyone ....... looking forward to something totally different ..........

Just curious: does it have the washer/dryer setup (the one machine that does both)?

Yes it does (single unit) ... PO told us they had only used it maybe once or twice ... will be interesting to see how it works .... have seen/heard both sides ((you know how forums are)) (hehe)

And please keep us updated on your travels.

... We're going to give a shot at Blogging ...... not certain how that will go ...

... It;'s actually one of two refer/freezers that are located in the basement .... also has an ice maker down there .... these folks did most of their entertaining ((what little they did)) outside the coach

and for Mark ......... got it covered bro !!!

Which dealer did you buy from?

We purchased from a private party .... Found someone who actually took very good care of the coach ... had it in his garage where it appears he was always doing something ... and service records like you wouldn't believe ..... currently all brand new tires, new house (12) & engine (2) batteries, new brakes & suspension service, both generator & HydroHot just serviced ... Can't tell from new ....... Just south of 80k on the Cummins 500 hp 1650 ft# torque engine ........ barely broken in .... Tryin to work with dealers (with a couple of exceptions) was not that great of an experience ... and saved a butt load of money

Glad to hear you are doing what you have wanted to do for some time now. Have more fun than you are suppose to, you have earned it. GOOD LUCK to you and Jackie.

If you are taking highway 54 from there down to New Mexico, look out on that very rough road. Also a lot of truck traffic down across the Texas panhandle northeast of Dalhart. Drive carefull!
