New 1972 Ontario Orange T-Top

65sting

Recommended Posts

Just got this week. Sold the '65 in January and have been looking for a straight, numbers steel bumper C3.

Started by changing all, belts, hoses, battery, tires (BFG's), fluids, wash, wax and tune up. Runs great, has not been driven regular in 7 or 8 years.

Starting a punch list.

I had a blue (can't remember the exact name for the paint) 1971. Wish I still had it.

You will enjoy yours!!!

No wonder the drivers side seat belt was stuck!
A little elbow grease, cleaners and lubricant made it work, including the seat belt warning light now.

The seat belts probably not been used in years. I can see somethings under the hood you could clean up:) Paint the master cyl and chrome cap and some nice polished alum valve covers and air cleaner and paint the vacuum pod on the firewall:) Some coated headers or S.S side pipes would look cool:)

Did you check the tire presser in your new BFGs? Sometimes the tire shops only do what it takes to seat the bead and they dont go back and set presser.

Yes the stock trim rings suck lol. The after market ones have a different style of clips they go all the way around so the weights dont get in the way. Once the stock style ones get messed up hard to fix them. Guys pound the crap out of them trying to get them to go on all the way.

LOL keep it numbers just up grade a few things and save the stock junk for later if anyone wants it back to stock:) Its a 72 low h.p 350 car not a 69 427 vert so not really a super rare car :)
