changing out motor..

Well on the way home from corvettes and caffine.oil pressure started dropping and car was losing power..me and my neighbor were building a motor anyway.but didn't wanna put it in till the fall after the rest of the car was done.guess y'all know what I will be doing this week....my neighbor is the corvette genius....

Looked at motor this morning....oil sending unit leaking bad..going to.change and put new lifters in.run some thicker oil in it. Might hold together till fall..if not......shifty got any duct tape I can borrow?

Leaking oil sender will definitely affect your oil pressure! Have you done any compression/vacuum testing? You're motor may not be as sick as you think until you check those

If that car was mine, I would definitely determine was the root cause is to why your engine acting up as you describe. The list to check may be long but repairing what you know is wrong with your engine is the first thing. After that simple things, like plugs, wires, etc. may be the problem.

Losing oil presser and power at same time is usually bad lol. I would drain oil into a clean pan and cut open oil filter. Did the engine start making noise like ticking or anything as it was dropping presser? Its so much fun swapping engine in C-4s :)
