I go to take the dang recycle bin out tonite and walk out into the garage......low and behold the garage floor has a big ole puddle of antifreeze on it. Raise the hood and I see a 1 inch crack in the plastic side tank of the radiator. I guess the only good part was it must have happened right after pulling it into the garage after work. Not a drop outside the garage. Never seen anything leaking prior to this. Time to look for a new radiator!

Side tanks can be replaced. Check with the guys at Serck radiator on Baseline just east of Mesa Dr.

Or on line at Radiator911.com

Tucson is a whole different world than Phoenix, lemme tell ya....

A few different ways to go:

1. Original A/C Delco (p/n# 20889), but it's going to be around $250

2. Aftermarket Chinese poop (p/n# 1885), but cheap, probably around $95

Both of these are through Factory Motor Parts 580 W. Ventura St. 326-1700, they have teh cheapie in Tucson, and if you order it before 9:30 am, you can get the Delco out of Phoenix for late afternoon. Tell them that Marc from Merles sent you, they "might" give you a break.

3. ABC Radiator. Teh quality is low, but so is teh price.

As far as fixing yours? Forget it in this town. BTW: this would be a good time to snag a DeWitts or Ron's Racing all-aluminum unit.

Hope that helps!
