Buccaneer
Saw this today with the wife. Great flick, lots of action when it starts rolling and continues for almost the entire movie. Even have a Pred scene...Nice! Go Preds! A mini gun is an awesome weapon.
Scratch
Saw it this evening...good action throughout, won't get an academy award, could of used real actors but good flic Was really surprised at how many Seals have given their lives since 9/
Big Poppa
I saw it tonight, and I thought it was awesome. I really liked that they didn't use actors. Everything felt more real. Everybody moved the right way, held their weapons correctly, looked the right places etc... I give it two thumbs up.

Big Poppa
I think that's a pretty accurate review. Of all his complaints, most of them I just brushed aside as they were all about making a sell-able 2 hour movie, so you have to Hollywood some stuff, and condense a lot of stuff. Of his list, this is the one that really struck me while watching the movie... The movie gave the impression that SEALs are nonchalant in the face of danger. This doesn’t fit with my experience. Cavalier joking standing on the ramp of a C-130 just prior to a night, equipment free fall into a real mission? Cavalier joking after one SEAL nearly shoots his team mate while clearing a building of real bad-guys? My experience is that when all the marbles are at stake, the boys have their game-face on, and there is focus, focus, focus, and little or no room for the distractions of humor. Now afterwards, at the bar, that’s a different story.
Buccaneer
WOW! He was really "nitpicking" IMO. It's a movie, not a documentary of real SEAL missions, what did he expect even being a former SEAL? It's a good movie with a lot of action and truth in it, maybe stretched a bit, but truth none the less. Though I personally have never worked with SEALS, I have worked with a lot of Spec Ops troops and IMO they ROCK when it comes to carrying out the mission. There's a "lot" of bad going on out there that the average American doesn't know about and never will that they take care of daily. Jus sayin'
Scratch
In the website, they emphasized the use of real Seals to make it more realistic of what and how they do things. Regardless, it still is Hollywood and has to have some interest for the audience. If we wanted totally real, we just may never know, other than Wikileaks or YouTube. Guest Sidewinder
Green lasers not red, no suppresion on M4's on night ops, M67's don't look like like when they go off, 7.62x39 will penetrate the tailgate of a truck everytime. Mission briefing/planner was dead on, that is exactly how it goes down. Asking questions to a detainee before extraction, yup. Tellin your crew to have their stuff together i.e. finances, relationships before you go down range, yup.SEALS putting their trident on the coffin, yup. I liked it overall. Almost had priapism.
