Nice parts porn. Can't tell the intake and headers from new. :thumbs But you must point in future pix, it's a well known by-law of the triple decker Tech section. :yesnod

I'm doing some tradeout web design work for a guy that does powder and ceramic coatings. Headers are going to be ceramic coated (inside and out) - thinking polished aluminum looking on those. He's also going to powder coat my control arms and other misc small parts for me.

A good friend of mine who is a mechanic ordered me a trans rebuild kit at his cost :) $68 including all the gaskets, seals, bearings, bushings and synchros. Should be here by the end of the week. :rockon2: The Price Is Right! / Bob Barker voice

BUBBA WAS HERE

How do you like the custom lowering job someone did? Man, I'm glad I didn't drive this thing around much before I tore it apart.

This is just scary

Bromley's Corvettes

Lots of Bubbas out there. I have had cars come in with missing susp bolts and parts falling off lol. Had some customers say I can feel something moving and making a funny noise when I go over bumps. Put it on the lift and find out the lower control arm is about to fall off lol. Sometimes they did not know anything was wrong. I wont drive a customers car into I look at it. I have seen to many cars with scary stuff and very old tires like ten years old or more and super dry. Even had customers drop off cars for exhaust or tune up and it has almost no brakes lol. The peddle goes to the floor and they never said anything lol. Im like you might want to fix the brakes be four custom exhaust lol. Oh the story's I could tell lol. I have a part number for a set of front springs that work really well and dont make the car look like your getting ready to run the baha 500 lol. Most springs make the front end to high like a 4X4.

Picked up the new engine yesterday! I had to set a couple of parts on it right away lol Still debating on color for it. Been planning on gloss black but I'm also considering Chevy orange. Now I need to get the front end put together, trans rebuilt and the misc engine parts cleaned and ready to bolt up. My 4spd rebuild kit showed up yesterday as well.

Motor looks sweet. Project looks like its coming along nicely. But the hard parts yet to come. Tackling the exterior and interior is going to rough. Love the work though.

The interior has a large amount of new stuff from the PO (bubba) :) so it will be OK for now. The exterior I'm not too worried about. Shiny paint is nice but this car needs mechanical safety stuff first. Fluff later ;) Paint will happen next winter I'm guessing.
