FNBADAZ06
Could it happen...two undeafeted teams meet in the Super Bowl for the first time for all the marbles ? '72 'Fins are still the only NFL team to finish the season with a perfect record and Super Bowl win....... Indianapolis (13-0) (Remaining schedule -- Jacksonville, New York Jets, Buffalo)...plays Jacksonville (7-6) Thursday night, with Jacksonville holding on to a potential playoff position New Orleans (13-0) (Remaining schedule -- Dallas, Tampa Bay, Carolina)...plays Dallas (8-5) Thursday night, with Dallas holding on to a potential playoff position Could get REALLY interesting Thursday night.... GO SAINTS !!!!
Shifty
I think it's going to be a matter of how well each matches up to teh team they face. I honestly can't see anyone hanging with teh Saints this year....if they lose somehow, it will be because they screwed up, not out-played. Teh Colts on teh other hand, are winning their games, but seldom dominating their opponents. Fortunately for them, teh AFC is pretty weak this year. I tell you what though, that would make for one helluva SuperBowl....
Tim
That isn't going to happen. Gaints will be in the superbowl.

TheCMSH
Both will lose a stupid game because they'll want to protect their starters and pull them for the final game(s) of the season. Not worth risking the playoffs to pursue the perfect season, just doesn't make financial sense. Old school footbal doesn't exist anymore

Old school footbal doesn't exist anymoreDid you see sunday nights post-game interview with Costas and Dungee? They showed that where teh Colts rested their players in teh playoffs, they lost, teh one time that they couldn't rest them, they won teh Big Game. I haven't heard that teh Saints were contemplating resting their stars...
FNBADAZ06
Sean Peyton's been very open to the fact that he will play the starters for the rest of the year, and only pull them from the line-up in the event it's a blowout. THe players, and the City, want this to be the statement year for the both the team and the City....I hope they can sustain the energy level and not peak too early !!! I think the Saints have a better chance of running the regular season undefeated over the Colts. The playoffs.....another story all together, with Minnesota charging hard and the resurgence of Philly...and who knows about how the Card's will play. Shifty
And in any case, you're forgetting all about my mighty Dolphins...
FNBADAZ06
Heard that !!!! NFC appears to be the more dominent conference this year, but the AFC has won 9 of the last 12 Superbowls (since 1997). We still have a tough road to march before the end of the regular season, but this is how it breaks down.... Miami (7-6) "(Remaing schedule -- Tennessee, Houston, Pittsburgh): The Dolphins helped their chances at a wild card spot by beating the Jaguars last week, which will give them a tiebreaker advantage in a two-way tie with the Jaguars. If the Patriots unexpectedly lose to the Bills, Miami would also hold a tiebreaker advantage over the Patriots for the division title."
FNBADAZ06
Well, the Colts and Peyton pulled another one out of the hat !!!! And, thank you Colts, for helping Miami's cause toward making the playoffs I thought the Jaguars looked pretty solid, but got outplayed/smarted by Peyton. 14-0,,,wow Exiting game Does the Colts defense look suspect to you ??? Now, the Saints need to dial it up for Saturday !!!!! GO SAINTS !!!!!

Bigfoot
Damn....Saints go down to the Cowturds 24-17 Hate to say this, but I had to root for the Cowgirls today. My opponent in fantasy football had Drew Brees. He also had Roy Williams though, but I had Miles Austin and Marques Colston. After 2 players each are done I'm leading 28 to 12 in the first round of the playoffs. I hope it keeps going. Sucks for the Ain'ts but oh well. FNBADAZ06
Dropped a TD in the end-zone, and 3 turnovers...hard to overcome those types of mistakes...plus, I hate to say it but the Cowturds played pretty solid on both sides of the ball. Tim
Well there you have it. NYG fell apart the last 1/4 of the season..yesterday was a dismal reminder of that and they are out.....disappointing. Who will I root on in the superbowl? Ted Y
Nobody is sure of the Cardinals. But they weren't sure last year, either. I hope they do it.
Bigfoot
How's this for interesting twists? With the Vikings loss today the Cards could possibly get a first round bye. All that needs to happen is one more loss by the Vikes, a Cowboys and Cardinals win and it's the #2 seed for the home team. At least I think so. Just checked ESPN...yep, I was right.
