I know Joe suggested a cruise to Canyon Lake - sounds good - but...

I'm going to take the back way to Tucson through Florence and go to the Pima Air / Space Museum. It's been about 10 years since I've been and I'll see about the AMARC tours - always wanted to do that too.

Not trying to crash yer party Joe - just throwing it out there. Been wanting to do this for quite some time and I generally don't get weekdays off, and weekdays are the BEST days to go to museums.

Besides, I need more new Hawaiian shirts and their gift shop always has them in stock!

Anyone wants to go -GREAT- I plan to try a beat the early morning traffic out of town best way possible, stop when may coffee cup/gas tank goes dry or my bladder runs full and just enjoy the ride. And, there's GOT to be someplace for killer mexican food in Tucson.

UPDATE:

Greenfield & US 60, there's a Quiktrip 1 block south of US 60, on the east side of Greenfield. There's a Starbuck's right next door.

Meet up at the Quiktrip at 7:00, depart 7:30.

Route will be east on US60; south at Florence Junction on 79/77 to Tucson; east on I-10 (from 77/Miracle Mile); exit Valencia; east to the museum.

Think that should get us to the museum between 9:30 and 10:00 AM - for meeting up with anyone coming by alternate route or any Tucson peeps that want to join.

Ya, Mi Nidito is good, I've eaten there a few times. You may want to post up an armed guard at your car while you eat, but..... I may end up with that Friday off as I tried to arrange that for the Yuma deal that went south. If I am off, I'll join you at the Museum and for lunch, but I aint gonna drive to Phoenix to accompany you down. Any other Tucson peeps wanna jump in on this?

Not crashing my party. I have the day off and I was going somewhere anyway. My son loves airplanes and he is excited about going so count us IN. I live in Southeast Chandler so Dwayne or anybody else want to meet up in the Casa Grande/Toltec area and caravan down? :thumbs

Dawg just called to suggest another place called Lindy's, a burger joint on 4th that was also on man vs food. I don't care either way.

Tom, looking at a map I was thinking of north of CG and meet up with the group as they come through Florence, or just head into phoenix and cruise the whole way with the main group.

For me once I get to maricopa it's easy either way!
