Phill's Vette
Just had a marble size hail storm in "almost AJ" where I live and it is moving west. I had just pulled the Vette in to the garage when it started.... got home just in time!! This kind of hail is BAAAAD for any car let alone a Vette! Hope everyone else made it out of it ok! FNBADAZ06
Good way to get a repaint courtesy of your insurance co. though! Only 1 thing better.......................sand storm. ....which I was the lucky recipeint of on Saturday afternoon near Pichacio Peak on my way home from Tucson, when the sand storm hit that caused a major pileup. Highway traffic came to a complete stop as visibility dropped to zero...I think they reported 8 cars collided. On top of that, there was no shoulder to pull off the highway as this is where they have the concrete barriors in place as they widen the highway . As a result of that, the rocks and debri on the north bound I-10 pelted the car during and after the storm, and to add insult to injury, the lifted Chevy truck right in front of me without mud flaps rewarded me with a rock into the windshield Looks like my car will be recieving some attention from a bodyshop over the holidays

This suxs Joe at Classic Gold should have room as the Wife's Benz is coming out this week with any luck. We need to have him designate one stall as the ACE stall

We need to have him designate one stall as the ACE stall Ask him if he's on the USAA recommended list. If not, I have to have an USAA adjuster review the damage and give an estimate. USAA says Midway Collision is on their list that is close to me, but I'm open to any "Vette centric" facility, including Gateway Collision used by WishboneZ51 (but they are a long ways from my home). BubbaThaLuva
Man, I'd love a new paint job. I'll have to check the forcasts and try to find a storm!
FNBADAZ06
It sucked being in this one, Brandon. I think the news reported a 9 car pile up, and we were stuck for well over an hour and a half motionless. Luckily I had my laptop and wifi connection to use while I was stuck and had XM radio to listen to the football games.
Wishbone
Dude this is a no braineer if you ask me. I cannot believe that you would be going anywhere else.... Are you crazy, lets talk...

They may try to buffalo you into using their shop but you don't have to. You can go wherever you want, they just won't guarantee the work. Joe guarantees his work and has been around for years. Not putting Gateway down as it appears they do beautiful work but I'll bet Joe has done 10 times more Vettes and he's a Vette owner so he know what anal bastards we can be. MadMax
I drove back from Bowling Green after picking up my vette back in 06. Didn't have it on the road more then two hours and got hailed on. Got hailed on 3 more times driving cross country. Not a ding, crack, etc. Amazing.
sloryde
Dude this is a no brainer..... J/k Sorry to hear about the damage to the Vette. Sucks... but then again, daily driver, with war wounds to prove it! I can get it looking like new, I always have Vettes in the bodyshop over here and do whatever it takes to make my customers happy.... On the bright side, once its all said and done, you'll have a super smooth finish now with none of the typical GM orange peel. Were not a USAA shop, but have worked with with them quite alot. In fact were doing a Nassau blue C5 through USAA right now. If you need to get ahlod of me give me a call 480-967-2521. Or we may run into eachother this weekend.... Hooters Saturday lunch! C-ya,... Joe P.S. Benz is almost done Eddie. Ill call ya tomorrow with an update.
