FNBADAZ06
Had a business lunch with an infrastructure contractor today for a client project, and the contractor and his deputies pulled in with a nice looking GMC Denali pickup truck. During lunch, the discussion turned to our hobby vehicles and I told them about my Vette. Later, as we left the restruant, they noticed I was driving my Lexus GS430, and one of the technicians expressed that he was suprised I drove a "ricer mobile". I guess any vehicle that is built in Asia is considered a "ricer" ????? Never thought of it that way.... it does have 20" Foose wheels on it, but it got me thinking..... If the Vette is not your daily driver, what are the rest of the ACE members using as daily transportation; foriegn or domestic ? I must admit, my 2002 GS430 is the BEST, trouble free vehicle I have ever owned. Other than scheduled maintenance and a bad ball joint, this vehicle has NEVER been in the shop for any other repairs...and it now has 160K plus miles on it. My 06 Vette has been in the shop for a faulty NAV unit (warranty), the roof delamination twice (warranty), and a pervasive passenger side door rattle (nothing major), and has just reached the 30K mark. FNBADAZ06
I really want one of those new CTS-V's , but it would be difficult to let my trusty GS go . I drove both a stick and an auto V, and really liked the auto with the Recaro option. You take any of those home for the weekend ?
1EVLC7
You take any of those home for the weekend ? I try to set myself up with a suv to take home for the weekend incase of a short notice family roadtrip. ....Those CTS-V's sure are running SOB"S - Doesn't take much to get sideways in em
MOTV8
If the Vette is not your daily driver, what are the rest of the ACE members using as daily transportation; foriegn or domestic ? I commute 30 miles each way either in the 'vette (thus the shotgun blast paint) or the crotchrocket (Kawi ZX9R), the wife uses a 300C SRT8 for grocery-getter and rugrat transport. Unfortunately the 300 is domestic in name only, it was mostly hecho en Mexico and Strutt's neck of the woods, so we're domestic-foreign-foreign. Teenage son drives a beater Saturn, so that's at least domestic, although dead.

Bigfoot
'00 GMC Sierra with 113k on the clock. Other than a water pump and fuel pump trouble free as well. Love it. I did the water pump myself, I had a buddy with a gararge do the fuel pump. After what he was going to charge and the hassle it was to do, it was more cost effective to have him do it. Wife's POS is an '01 Durango with 100k on it. More fixes than I care to mention. It wouldn't be so bad, but it's a PIA to work on compared to the truck.
