  1. The 11th Anniversary of the annual Father's Day Cruse and Picnic is again scheduled for a wonderful drive to Cottonwood. Last year some of us stopped around the corner and grabbed a cold beer at THAT brewery. I think I'll do this again this year as well! This is the weekend before Father's Day so everyone can still celebrate the holiday with family. The picnic destination in Cottonwood's Garrison Park has plenty of picnic bench seating under a huge ramada, and additional shade trees for those that want a true blanket picnic. You are required to bring your own sack lunch for a picnic. There's one medium sized ramada with 6 picnic tables, a nearby restroom, and a playground. There is limited parking next to the ramada, but plenty of spaces, just a short distance, SE of the ramada and playground. WHEN: Saturday, June 13th (Weekend before Father's Day) Destination: Garrison Park, Cottonwood, AZ (Picnic spot) Route: Google Maps Link (Also see below) Who: ACE members post up in this thread if you can make it, I'll update the 1st post with the list. @theChad+1 @SixAddict +1 @Footsam +1 @Extender32 +1 @Chameleon @Ed Herrington +1 @CrimsonNCream +1 @1jester +1 @aenigma +1 @Randy Stone +1 @Go C7 Go +1 @XxDoubledgexX +1 @Vette R & D +1 @JacksAO +1 @rvwoods +1 @Rod Bush @SILVER BULLET C5 +1 @Frank L +1 @roneva +1 @Eddie44 +1 @rlcarriger@cox.net +1 @Johnnyi Logistics & Directions: Multiple valley congregation points will form and all proceed to the McDonalds @ I-17 / Carefree Hwy for the launch point. 4. On April 20th and 21st I am cruising up north to run the Devil's Highway. If you are not familiar with this road, it is the old US 666 (now Highway 191) also known as the "Coronado Trail." It runs between Alpine and Clifton, and is about 90 miles of some of the most technical driving available in this state. This is NOT a high-speed drive, but if you enjoy twisty two-lanes, off-camber corners and spectacular scenery, this is a great road. I am leaving mid-morning on the 20th and driving to Springerville/Eagar for the night. The 21st I'll run the highway, and be back home that night. This is about a 600 mile trip, split 250/350 between the two days. The route is a loop, Phoenix/Payson/Heber/Show Low/Eagar/Alpine/Clifton/Safford/Phoenix. I'm staying at the Best Western in Eagar on the 20th. Best Western Sunrise Inn, Eagar AZ Anyone who wants to join me is welcome to come along; post up here if you're interested. MEET POINT/TIME: Chevron station, southeast corner of Beeline (Hwy 87) and Ft. McDowell Road. Drive through the fuel islands, and bear left into the parking lot on the side of the building. 10180 North Fort McDowell Road, Fort McDowell, AZ 85264 Food, drinks, fuel, restrooms available. 9:30 meet for a prompt 10:00 a.m. departure.
