Car show dates: June 11th & 12th, 2021 Location: Williams AZ ( Downtown Route 66) For info on entry application and general information on other events and lodging at the show: www.williamshistoricalroute66carshow.com. Last years event had 367 entrants and this years anticipation will be over 500 entrants. There will be plenty of good places to eat in the downtown area of Route 66 along with live entertainment. For those interested in participating there will be three categories for Corvettes by generations on both days. The car show will not be assigning spaces for groups entering the show and it will be first come, first serve and entrants will need to be checked in by 10:00AM each day and judging will start at 10:30AM to 02:30PM. Diana will keep Ray posted if there any changes in parking since they are still having meetings and Ray will update on any news. Run to the River - Saturday November 7th

Let's finish off the Year From Hell with a fun overnight trip to Laughlin, NV! --UPDATE-- 9/6/20 ***UPDATE *** UPDATE**** 9/24/2020**** After much looking for a hotel in Laughlin, NV, and reading reviews posted from just last weekend, my wife and I have decided not to go through with this trip. It appears that the hotels are having trouble retaining enough staff and personnel to serve guests properly with dining, elevator service, and housekeeping! I would recommend anyone that has shown interest in going, they do their own research to verify my findings. I am so sorry, but I think this whole Covid stuff has caused problems for everyone that would like to get back to normal and live life! Thank all who have supported this effort, and I hope to do this next spring or fall. Jerry and Melinee Dunn😟 My wife, Melinee and I are planning a trip in our Corvette to Laughlin on Saturday November 7th to escape lockdown and incessant boredom to have some normal fun! We will be staying 2 nights and wanted to invite all of our friends in ACE along for a great cruise and to have fun also! The meet up will be at the Mobil gas station/store @ 8:30 AM on Hwy 93 just north of Wickenburg. We plan an 8:50 AM departure time from there following north on Hwy 93 to Hwy 40. We will have a 15 minute catch-up stop at the Union 76 station on the east side of the Hwy in Wickieup. It is located on the east side of the Hwy about mid north in the sprawling metropolis. Anyone may take a quick restroom break or pick up drinks, candy, etc. there. We will then continue north to the west onramp to Hwy 40 to Kingman where we will turn onto Hwy 68 west to Laughlin, NV. After arriving we will drive to the Aquarius Resort parking lot and the caravan will drive to a local restaurant for lunch. The name and location of the restaurant will be disclosed in an upcoming post from my investigations and club member preferences, I hope to receive soon! I am hoping that a good number of people will be up for this event so that I can begin calling and looking to set up a good rate for rooms, food discounts, drink discounts, chip extras, preferred parking, etc.! There are many nice hotels and resorts to stay at in Laughlin and everyone will be on their own to arrange for their stay, but if I can receive a good response I will do my best to ensure a nice weekend at a place like The Aquarius! So, everyone get busy checking your calendars and planning for a fun cruise and weekend in November! This activity has not been done in a long time, so let's get together and have a great time! Post Up Here If You Are In: CrimsonNCream (2) JoeandGwen (2) Bob Lehrman (2) Melinee and Jerry are in!
  6. The 11th Anniversary of the annual Father's Day Cruse and Picnic is again scheduled for a wonderful drive to Cottonwood. There is limited parking next to the ramada, but plenty of spaces, just a short distance, SE of the ramada and playground. Cruise on Central

Nancy Perry is doing another Cruise on Central event on Saturday 10-7-17 from 10 AM -7:30 PM. Central will be closed the width of Park Central Mall. Note they are shutting down at 7:30 - guess the Geritol wears out by then, or the Viagra kicks in ?
  19. I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but this run is not possible due to road conditions. Yesterday I had to go to Flagstaff, so I drove the cruise route to get there. I discovered there is major construction in progress on Lake Mary Road between Happy Jack and Flagstaff. There are 7 MILES of dirt/gravel/rocks where the pavement has been completely removed. In numerous places the rocks/gravel between the wheel ruts was so deep my Vette was bottoming out and scraping. I crept through there at 10-15 miles an hour, but I have damage to the splitter and I need to put the Vette up on a lift to see what kind of damage I may have done to the undercarriage. Sadly, there are no good alternatives. I-17 northbound on Saturdays right now sucks with heavy traffic, and is a boring drive at best. Detouring off Hwy 87 from Payson down Hwy 260 to Camp Verde puts us right back on I-17 heavy northbound traffic, and into Flagstaff at least an hour later, right in the middle of lunch hour when the Brewery is very busy. Their parking lot is iffy at best, and at lunchtime there is no way a group of us will even find parking, much less be able to eat lunch together. So, this is a bust. I will try to do it again next year – at least Lake Mary Road should have good pavement then. . . Spend a day out of the heat. . . Saturday August 19th, cruise to Flagstaff via the back roads. Route: Payson/Strawberry/Happy Jack/Flagstaff. Lunch at Beaver Street Brewery: http://www.beaverstreetbrewery.com/ The Brewery opens at 11:00. They DO NOT take reservations, even for large groups.
