  1. Want to buy my Dad's 50th Anniversary Corvette? It is in very good condition and beautiful! Special edition Burgundy exterior and Shale interior. One owner, clean title, has never seen snow or ice. Stored in a garage, non smoking/non pet owner, very clean and meticulously cared for! No accidents, recently detailed, no mechanical issues. We have complete history of car. $18,000 OBO, Located in Phoenix, AZ. Mileage: 69,154. I can send more photos.
  2. Hey, lets try this again!! Updated for sale thread and mighty fine C5 listed below: Facing reality, making life choices; as most of you regulars realize I haven't had a physical presence at any functions for quite some time. Too much work which has resulted in my beloved pony just sitting in the corral. Its been a great car, just time to get in into the hands of someone who can actually drive it and enjoy it. Since I have zero time and desire to sift through weeks or Craigslist/Ebay BS, I'm pricing the car to go quickly, cash sale. I would sure love the car to stay in the ACE family so I'm starting here. $9,000 cash takes it home, its not new but its been well cared for (garage kept always) and has most every typical failure point dealt with. It has age appropriate cosmetic issues (think Laughlin rash on the nose), typical LS-1 piston slap that disappears after warm up. Zero oil leaks, new pan gasket and rear main seal $9,00 cash sale only 2001 coupe - Pewter (dammit its pewter not silver) Automatic transmission, sport seats and perfect 145K miles Targa, halo, lower rear fascia 3M black vinyl F45 still present with sims installed Z06 exhaust Z06 sways New shocks New brakes 12K ago Newer fluids Factory stereo with PAC ipod auxiliary connector EBCM issue repaired Brass gears in headlight motors water pump, balancer, tensioners done New Cooper tires, dreamy..... New windshield Perfect starter car for someone looking to get into the Corvette life. I've priced the car appropriately for the condition I'm looking to find it a new home, not dicker on price. If you get a kick out of haggling, just go find some unknown car on Craigslist or Ebay and don't waste my time. I'm also willing, if you bring me a buyer, to pay you $100 cash for a finders fee. Contact me via PM here on the forum, we can exchange phone numbers from there. If you want a car to just jump in and drive, this is your car Jim Teh Commish

    2001 C5 Z51 6speed $8500

2001 C5 Z51 136k Miles, T56 6speed transmission, Restored Title. I don’t know much history on the vehicle other than I have had it as my Daily Driver for 11 months. I got the car from a wholesale dealer that graciously gave me an opportunity to do some minor repairs before he was going to resell. I drove it home to start the work and I immediately liked the way the car drove and handled. Driveline is stock and the mods are minimal including a Batwing CAI, Corsa over axle exhaust (utilization of the stock over axle pipeline) , double din JVC Head Unit utilizing the PAC ROEM-VET1 module connected to the factory Bose amplified speakers. Currently has a HUD from my other C5 and can be left with the car for replacement parts or I can put the original dash back in that is uncut for HUD projector. I have extra parts and accessories that can be discussed with purchase (IE Roots Blower, Ls3 modified NA 515 rwhp) Also Availble 05 C6 or 02 C5 M6 both cars with clean title.

    FREE Track Slicks

Hey All, I have a set of Continental track slicks. I originally sized these for my 2002 Corvette Z06 running stock wheels. I bought them a few years ago off a race team running the Continental Tire Series. They used them for qualifying only, so they only have about 6 laps on them. I lost my tread depth gauge so I don't have an exact measurement on them. The sizes are: 2: 275/40/zr17 2: 305/60/zr18 They don't have any cracks, but the are a little dry. I wouldn't hesitate to use them for a track day myself, but I bought a miata for the track and don't need these. I do need to get them out of my garage. I'd rather someone have fun with them than throw them away, so if anyone on here wants them, they're FREE...all you have to do is come pick them up (PM me for address). If they're not gone by the weekend I'm going to trash them (responsibly). Thanks!

    Rattle on acceleration

I have a rattle when I accelerate about 25-50%, but not there when I'm around 75%. Does this sound like an exhaust problem?

  9. ACE, Do any of you members have experience with checking the AC system on a C5 or perhaps have a good contact somewhere that won't charge and arm and a leg? i have reset the actuators both in the dic and with the fuse method and checked a few other things. They appear to be working as does the dual climate controller. The temps will change but basically go from room temp set at 60 to 90 set on 90 (heat works great). Usually when it's an actuator only one side will fail and that side won't change temps. I'm pretty sure the compressor is kicking on but I can't completely tell to be honest which leads me to believe: low on freon (possible leak?) bad pressor sensor in the line? compressor could be toast (makes no abnormal noises however and defrost seems to work) Any help is appreciated because as we know it will be getting warm soon. I am located in Scottsdale but will travel a bit if needed. Thanks all! -Pete

    C5 pop up headlight problem

My gear broke on my 00, but wanted to get fixed lights installed instead of fixing the gear. No one will install fixed lights that I have called. Any one know of a place? If not I will have the gear replaced. I wanted to do this myself, but the light won't come up (even when I turn it myself). I read that there's a screw under the light, but you need it jacked up to get to it. In the process of this I mistakenly unscrewed the motor and now it doesn't make any noise. Will this need replaced as well, or is that easily put back together(not sure what I screwed up on it, just came off for a second). I've replaced a few other things with ease, but had trouble with this one, partly by my own mistake and other part due to the light not coming up.

    Greetings from Tucson

Hello All, I found this forum via a Google search for Arizona Corvette shops. I've gotten to dig around a little, and this seems like a really good community. As usual, seems like most people are from the Phoenix area. I moved from Florida to Tucson last year for work (military). I really enjoy the area and the Southwest as a whole. I recently purchased a 2000 coupe dressed in Nassau Blue. It has pretty low miles (33,000ish) and was very well taken care of. All stock car minus a shift knob I purchased soon after getting the car. My plan for the car, at the moment, is to make it sound a little better (headers/x pipe/catback/tune). In the future, I'm sure I'll look into heads/cam/intake/etc. This is actually my second Corvette. My first car was a '77. I loved that car so much, even with all the problems she had. Ended up selling it to help pay for some college. Anyways, I look forward to seeing more of what the forum has to offer. Maybe I will eventually cross paths with some of you. If you are in Tucson, I'd be more than happy to meet up and talk cars/go on a cruise. Looks like I'll need to go to Phoenix for any reputable shops (I hear good things about CPR and Nic D). Thanks for establishing such a great community for Arizona Corvette owners. Chance
  21. We got the ok to try this again. Second time ever a Full on night event at Inde Motorsports Ranch. We planned it for after the so we will not have the rain issue we had last time. Cost is going to be $200 for the event since we are going to have a much smaller group then normal. Run groups will be around 8 cars. Best chance to get out to a track and drive at night. Any questions please let me know. I am accepting payment now to get spots. Thanks Hunter
  22. My C5 electrical problems persist. Kahuna1 was kind enough to help me install a column lock bypass on my C5 and the stalling at 2 miles an hour seems to have ceased. However my gauge cluster buttons do not work and now the AC on the drivers side blows red hot while it blows cold on the passenger side. A new electrical problem seems to arise or change each time I disconnect my battery. I would get a new gauge cluster but it seems it might be some other kind of short behind the dash. I know it could be the AC actuator but the variety of electrical problems in the dash seem like it must have a common cause rather than several individual elements all breaking at the same time. I'm ready to pay a professional for some real help. Any recommendations? You can also call me at 602 740 0176 Thanks
