Let me introduce myself. I'm a member of the Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club in Tucson, AZ. We are planning our 1st annual Car Show here at the club for Sunday, November 14th, 2004. The objective of the show is to have fun and see what other people are driving. The show is open to Antiques, Classics, Hot Rods, Sports and Exotics. 1st Annual Ventana Canyon Car Show

Why: This event is to socialize and have FUN!!! See what other people are driving. The cars will be for display only ? no judging!!!

When: Sunday, November 14, 2004 from 2 to 5 PM. Car placement will begin at 12:30 PM.

Where: On the 1st fairway of the Mountain Course at Ventana Canyon Golf & Racquet Club - 6200 Clubhouse Lane, Tucson, Arizona, 85750, 520-577-1400.

Who: Anyone with an Antique, Classic, Hot Rod, Sports or Exotic Car. Participation is limited to the first 100 entries. Entry deadline is November 1st, 2004. Entry fee of $25 covers a buffet lunch, soft drinks and a commemorative T shirt.

To entice participation, for those who would like to make weekend out of it, the rates have been reduced at the Lodge at Ventana Canyon from $199 (plus tax and tip) per night to $159 (plus tax and tip) for a 1 bedroom, double occupancy. For those who want to play golf, the rate has been reduced from $189 to $88 per player. On Saturday, there will be normal tee times. On Sunday, there will be a 7:30 AM shotgun so golfers can get a round in before the car show. For reservations at the Lodge call 800-828-5701 and ask for reservations then reference the car show. Golfers can arrange play through Greg Rubino, Director of Golf, at 520-577-4006.

Make your Lodge and Golf reservations early. This is a very busy time of year as the courses have just opened after over seeding. The Lodge is already 60% booked for Friday night, November 12th.

Parking: The Ventana Golf & Racquet Club and Lodge are in a private, gated community. In addition, for overnight Lodge guests, there will be a security guard on duty in the parking area.

Directions: FROM I-10 HEADING EAST FROM PHOENIX- Exit at Ina Road and turn left onto Ina. Follow Ina Road east approximately ten miles. Ina Road curves in a southeast direction and its name changes to ?Skyline? and then changes again to ?Sunrise.? Continue driving east on Sunrise to Kolb road. Turn left at the intersection of Sunrise and Kolb. Drive north on Kolb road approximately ½ mile to a security gate on the right. Turn right at the gatehouse and the guard will provide further instructions to The Lodge golf resort main entrance

NOTE: The car show is NOT open to the general public. Only the registered vehicle or the tow vehicle and its occupants will be admitted.
