Chameleon Posted July 1, 2012 Share Posted July 1, 2012 Spend a day out of the heat. . . Saturday August 25th, cruise to Flagstaff via the back roads. Route: Payson/Strawberry/Happy Jack/Flagstaff. Lunch at Beaver Street Brewery: http://www.beaverstreetbrewery.com/ The Brewery opens at 11:00. They DO NOT take reservations, even for large groups. So, the plan is to be there when they open the doors at 11:00. . . Return via Hwy 89A/Oak Creek/Sedona. Camp Verde rest stop/ice cream. Back into the blast furnace via I-17. 8:00 a.m. meet for a prompt 8:30 a.m. departure. MEET POINT: Chevron station, southeast corner of Beeline (Hwy 87) and Ft. McDowell Road. This is the second traffic light north of the intersection of Beeline and Shea Blvd (approximately 2 miles). Turn right off Beeline, and an immediate right into the Chevron. Drive through the fuel islands, and bear left into the parking lot on the side of the building. Food, drinks, fuel, restrooms available. Route and itinerary will be provided at the meet point. Why don't you head up this way and join us running to Flag? You could come up Friday night; hotels are cheap up here in the summer. . . Might be able to join up with you all at the Beaver street brewery for lunch. Might be able ( if we can keep up)to continue with you to Sedeona. Will check with the other guy to see if they want to do it. Soooooooo if you blow by some old Geezers on Gold Wing trikes around Morman Lake it is us. Welcome to ACE, look forward to meeting you at one of our events! Hey Duane, welcome to ACE. The runs vary a bit, but this one is a chance to escape the heat for a few hours while driving your Vette on some twisty secondary roads, enjoy some beautiful scenery and good company, have a nice lunch, and cruise home. Participants will receive a route handout at the meet point. We leave as a group, but everyone drives at whatever pace they are comfortable.
