Too bad rides not possible. Liability waivers? Sad state of affairs to brfing that up, but sure would be cool to give rides.....

Shirts would be awesome, possibly white, we could sign them with our ACE name as the kids check out our cars. Rob

The t shirt is just an idea. We have any t shirt guys in the forum? Maybe a co sponsor deal where it looks cool with a big Lpm on one side and ACE on the other? Something cool that a kid would wear? Anybody?

I like this idea

A: 08Z51, you have been around a while and you are not a "two time poster hocking your charity event" (thats a complement).

B: this fits well with our crew. A nice drive up, and build up the Good Karma bank.

oldmxdog61u/Bruce brings up a good question.

some of us my have open passenger seats. whats the libality expouser? (sp)

My question is the drive to the campground. is the road paved, dirt, dirt compacted washboard?

I personality don't care (as long as its not river rock) but I know others do.

I did a google map view of the camp ground, looks like it is approx 500 feet off of 260 just south of Christpher Creek. I'll check to see what kind/condition the road is.

I think I remember the entrance. Its an extremely wide shoulder at the entrance to the camp. Cars park along the shoulder. Unless they have parking inside the camp you can't see??? Good question. If its the shoulder that isn't so good a spot. Myself, it would be great to offer some sort of ride, even if its just a short ride from payson.

To oldmxdog61u, Yes I have a 928S, Have had 928's for the past 10 years, Had two until I bought the Corvette, Couldn't let the old one sit in the sun so reluctantly sold Her After the Stroke I figured I wouldn't be puting a lift in. but I miss her already....

928's. A great car not well accepted , but a great car nonetheless. Hope to see you on the next run. Hoping we can get some of these kids out at least around the block, a free corvette t shirt, honorary acehole status, and some cool cars for them to think about for awhile.

I too would like to give the kids a ride. After thinking about it, unless we can give all the kids a ride there will be some that will be disappointed and left out. They have had enough disappointment and being left out of things in their lives. If a ride is put together, I will stay around to give everyone a ride that wants one.

The road off of Highway 260 is dirt/gravel, well maintained and only 1/8th of a mile long. I have no idea if the parkinglot is dirt, or paved. Do a Google map search and look for yourself. R Bar C Ranch Boy Scouts, Payson, AZ (928) 478-4500 I have not been there, so I have no other details. Rob
