My car is a 1970 built on a SRIII tube chassis with a small block gen 1 427 putting out 603 hp coupled to a t56 magnum 6 speed trani.

The suspension is from a 1993 ZR1 with dual adjustable coil overs in each corner and Wilwood six piston fronts and 14" rotors along with 4 piston rears and 13" rotors.

its finished in crystal red metallic and dark charcoal stripe.

the wheels are 18" CCW with 285 tires in front and 335 in the rear..

i installed C5 sport seats to help keep me from moving around to much on the street.

also have an aluminum racing seat when in on the track.

Thanks guys. It's been a fun project to build and now is more fun to drive.

it has the great looks of an older vette but handles like a new sports car.

its great fun on the road race track and am trying to get a tire sponsor now so that I can get into auto cross.

Thank you,

I'm going on the run to Flagstaff this Saturday so if your attending I'd be happy to show it off.

Thanks,

Really bummed that the run to Flagstaff had to be cancelled due to the road construction.

I was really looking forward to getting the car out for a good run.

Hoopefully soon.

Thank you,

my wife has me starting a new project for her. Building a 1970 Datsun 510. I have the car and donor, just need to find the time to really get into it.

new vette 62

Looks great do you have any pictures of the process? The only issue I have is I don't like the wagon wheel look, I like to see more lip of the rim, at least on the back tires.

Thanks,

I have a complete binder of pics of the build as it went along.

I don't have any except some of the body and paint on my I pad.

because of the 1993 C4 ZR1 suspension and not wanting to hack it up or having to install large wheel tubs,  those are how the wheels came out. I'm very pleased with the CCW wheel quality. They have held up well on the road race track.

Im trying to secure a tire sponsor so that I can start doing auto cross next.

If I do I'll purchase another set for that

I ran ccw wheel 18X9.5 with 275's X 4 on my LS3 powered Pontiac Solstice. Can't beat the quality and weight saving.

Beautiful Red Vette in person and spittin Thunder ! Glad you made it.

Sold the Solstice to fund the new GS !

Thank you,

it was nice to meet all of you.

I am surprised by how many people have never heard of the CCW brand of wheel..

I bet the Solstice was fun to drive.

Did you install the LS?

Had the drivetrain done in Illinois. Did what I could out of garage. Did just over 146 at the Gila Bend half mile last year with t56 in 5th thru the half. 3.91 rear gears, Wilwood brakes , BC coilovers, and frame stiffeners etc.

I  have also been very pleased with CCW wheels, tha’s what I run on the Plum car in a 20x11 rear, and 20x9 1/2 fronts 505a's

Also have them on my other toy on a 19x10 all the way around.

But again, amazing looking ride for sure,I really would like to do a chrome bumper car with an updated chasis/drivline set up.

Thanks for the information. I understand about the wheel wells. I did a few things to get my 8 inch rims to fit in the back but didn't want to add the bigger tubs.
