Just back from Florida

I was down in Melbourne, visiting my brother. Saw tons of C5-C7 Vettes. All the C5 and C6s were showing the signs of living in that climate. Really bummed me out, but I guess it's just the way it is down there, if you own a car by the ocean.

The topic said Florida and you mentioned Melbourne. All I kept thinking was Australians dodging kangaroo.  Think you could hit one of those, @Desertdawg?

I would bet a quality ceramic coating would do just fine in Florida for paint protection.

Paint is the least of the problems. A good wash/clay bar and coat of good wax and you are good to go. The real problem is things like wheel studs, rotors, and just about every other thing made of metal. I look at my car and the tiny bit of rust that forms on the rotors where the pads don't make contact drives me nuts. down there, I'd have to paint or plate everything to avoid losing my friggin' mind.
