aenigma
You might recognize this one. I bought it a couple weeks ago and decided to make it faster and stronger. It was very well kept and I'm really happy with the purchase and plans. Lonnie is teaching me as we go. We're: replacing the 350 with a 383 rebuilding the transmission with a 2004r transmission rebuilding the rear suspension getting windows tinted - not doing it ourselves adding side pipe headers all new u joints and maybe a drive shaft radiator and transmission cooler torque converter a fin. I must have a fin. Should be done by April.
insatiableOne
might as well add an L88 hood, they make those look much better. See.. perhaps some flares too?
aenigma
I normally like blinging cars out but for some reason, I put away the stickers and add-ons for this one except for the side pipes and fin. Even new wheels didn't excite me which they usually do. I think except for those 2 add-ons, I'm more interested in just making it fast. Is that your car? Looks great. insatiableOne
nope Just a thought comes to mind when you say fast + C3 to me = L88 That is one pretty car you just got. Might be a fun project any way you make it, congratulations on the new purchase.
Desertdawg
WTF is a fin ???? Do you mean a spoiler? Fun toy Mo, there are lots of days I wish I still had mine... Faster is cool but don't forget about stopping or handling... Vette Brakes and Products https://www.vbandp.com/ has some killer suspension and braking goodies for C3's. We're rebuilding and strengthening the suspension. I'll check out that site. Summit is so killer for next day delivery, customer service and returns that it's hard to veer from them. Summit may be fast but the re-engineered products from vb&p are pretty killer, and will put to shame the original GM design.
Bromley's Corvettes
OMG your building a Race Car how are you going to get insurance on it lol J/K. C-3s are a lot of fun with 383.c.i and over drive tranz and 370 rear gear. Side pipes are more for looks x pipe exhaust makes more power. You dont need to do any brake up grades other then good pads when everything is working right C-3s have really good brakes. All poly bushing everywhere makes a difference and good shocks like KYBs.

I just saw this! Funny on the insurance. I just "might" have a few specialty insurance companies up my sleeve ? The brakes are great. I think that's the only item not getting replaced. Lonnie had a cow about one item I wanted to place on the back window. I'll go back and get it later ?????? (Chrome skulls and guns do look cool) Engine block should be here shortly. My awesome side pipes are just waiting. We'll begin in a couple of weeks. I'll post as we go. Lonnie is finishing up his Camaro rebuild and a 2 car garage doesn't cut it for 2 cars being modified at the same time.

Selling the C5 soon so down to 3. It's funny that Lonnie's favorite car and daily driver is a c6. I love my c7 and we both love this c3. The c5 was chosen to go. I do love the c5 but we can't keep 4, it's ridiculous.
Drewstein
You're right 4 is ridiculous, you need 5! With a C2 the collection has one of each generation other than the 1st and that says something!
Chameleon
She would need a C4 also to complete her collection. . .
