We need to see if everyone wants to do this on Saturday the 14th or Sunday the 15th?
Please post up your choice!

O.K. so here's the deal.
This is my first time trying to arrange a get together for the club
so take it easy on me....you all know who you are.......
Per the recommendation of Desertdawg,
Donna and I would like to invite everyone to get out of the Valley heat and take a cruise
up to the Prescott area for the day with lunch at Oliva's Mexican Restaurant in Prescott Valley.
I know the owner of the restaurant and he has expressed the interest in welcoming our group for a
get together lunch. As of right now, it looks like Saturday August 14 is the most viable option at this time.
Currently I'm looking for a show of interest to see how many people (cars) would be able to
make the trip up to the cool country for the day with a group lunch in there.
I would expect the best route for the drive would be a meeting place of possibly I-17 & Carefree Highway
around 9 a.m., head to Wickenburg, up the twisties through Congress, Yarnell Hill, and up the curves of the
White Spars into Prescott past Whisky Row and on into Prescott Valley. From there you would have the
option of returning back the same way, or if time is an issue you can head to I-17 through Dewey and back
to Phoenix or wherever the heck you came from !!!
I would like to see at least 20 or more to commit before I go to the restaurant and ask them to make
provisions for us as far as extra staff and setting aside parking and so on.
Just to let you all know, this is NOT a fancy restaurant, just a casual place that we like to eat at with good
service, food, and pricing. The owners nephew who also works there has a 97 C5 Coupe so he said
he would love to have us to.
If you would, please post as soon as possible if you would like to attend so I can start to try to get
a head count as to how many can make it to let the restaurant know.
If we can't get at least 20 or so, we might be better off just leaving this as a casual get together
opportunity and do whatever for lunch as decided by the majority.
I personally would like to drive down to the meeting place and make the whole trip with everyone.
Thanks for your time and I hope this can turn into a great get together.

You're in a good position on this one. If it's a success you can take credit but if it bombs then you can blame him. win win!

I've got a 1/2 marathon in Flagstaff that day, but Sunday would work better for me too.

I couldn't find the ability to edit my original thread so I contacted Dwayne
for some help.
I originally picked Saturday just for the sake of picking a day.
It doesn't matter which day we do this, I just want to make it which ever
day works best for everybody. After seeing so many "I could go if it was on Sunday" replies, I thought we better get some more opinions..... :unsure
Soooo......SPEAK UP !!!
I can probably wait until Thursday at the latest to let the restaurant
know what we are doing..... :eat:
